It covers the generic knowledge that everyone working in the childcare sector requires including –
Child development Children’s rights Play Working with children and young people
Target Group:
The NPA Playwork and Childcare is an ideal first qualification for anyone interested in working with children as a playworker, childcare assistant, nanny, or in many other roles. It is also ideal for anyone working in any of these roles, who doesn’t already have a childcare qualification.
Benefits:
The NPA has been approved by the SSSC as a suitable qualification for registration as a support worker.
Duration:
The NPA is achieved by completing four mandatory units and one optional unit.
Certification:
Certificates are issued by SQA on completion of the unit outcomes.
